The Oklahoma Risin Baseball High School Program (“Risin Baseball”) aims to become the preeminent program for the development of the high school baseball player in the state of Oklahoma.
Risin Baseball will focus on the development of baseball players during their high school years, in preparation for competition beyond, with an emphasis on the promotion of the required physical and mental skills needed, while competing at the highest possible levels. This program will concentrate on building character through teaching the value of a strong work ethic, commitment to achieving goals, good sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and the promotion of a winning attitude. The coaching staff will stress the “right way to play the game” through teaching the fundamentals with a consistent approach. Risin Baseball will also emphasize and teach a respect for the game of baseball. Winning is the result of “building strong character through competition.”
The benefit of teaching such values will produce resilient young men of outstanding character with a solid foundation of life-skills that will translate to each player’s futures, both on and off the field.
“Baseball is the only field of endeavors where a man can succeed
three times out of ten and be considered a good performer.”
Ted Williams
